Business Continuity Management
Having an established and regularly exercised or rehearsed Business Continuity Plan is becoming essential and often mandatory to trade.
Organisations exist in a dynamic environment and are therefore subject to change - in people, process, market, risk, environment, geography, even business mission - and the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) must reflect these changes to remain valid.

Red Island are leaders in this field and provide our clients with Business Continuity Management (BCM) advice benchmarked against BS 25999 - the standard of best practice in Business Continuity Management.
We produce plans relevant to the market our clients operate within and appropriate for their recovery objectives.
We also back this service up with BS 25999 training services and are the official BS 25999 training provider for the British Quality Foundation.
BS 25999
BS 25999 is the first ever national BCM standard to which organisations can certify.
It is written in two parts. Part 1 is the Code of Practice and outlines the standards overall objectives, guidance and recommendations. Part 2 is the specification which details the activities that should be completed in order to meet business continuity objectives within the context of an organisations overall business risks. It is part 2 that organisations certify to.

In a difficult environment, which is always
changing the Red Island consultants learnt and adapted to the ways we
work very quickly. Their breadth and depth of knowledge enabled us to
look with fresh eyes at alternative strategies and put together a
comprehensive course of action for our business continuity plan. Some
of the ways their consultant's work, the methods they adopt and the
tools they use, has influenced me personally and I find myself working
in a slightly different, but better organised manner.
